Barack Obama has distanced himself from a new Ludacris track which supports the Presidential hopeful. In the song called Politics (Obama Is Here) the I Got Ho’s rapper slates Hilary Clinton and John McCain whilst calling current president George Bush ‘mentally handicapped.’ The chorus of the song goes “The world is ready for change cos Obama is here,” but even that wasn’t enough to win over the Democrat. Hip-Hop Label Auctioned for $24M
NEW YORK) — Death Row Records, the hip-hop label that released seminal gangster rap albums by Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, has been auctioned for $24 million. Last.fm Starts Paying Royalties to Unsigned Bands
Online music service Last.fm today announced that it will start paying out royalties to unsigned and independent bands that upload their music to last.fm. Artists will earn royalties whenever their music is played on-demand, or on Last.fm’s streaming radio service. Last.fm had first announced this in January, but it took until today for Last.fm to officially start up its Artist Royalty Program.
