We recently made a news post about Lil’ Wayne’s new album entitled Tha Carter III. The post we made was on the legitimacy of the album cover. Since we made that post, it turns out that the cover with Lil’ Wayne depicted as a baby wearing a full suit, tattoos, and complete with pinky ring turned out to be verifiable as the official cover for the album.

Now we’ve been making jokes with each other and talking about bad hip hop album covers for years, and especially lately since Lil’ Wayne’s new album cover debuted. This got us to thinking about how bad of a rep our culture of hip hop has for album artwork. We got to searching for articles on the worst hip hop album artwork of all time, and really didn’t come up with much.
