Onyx is a Group consisting of the world famous Sticky Fingazz, Fredro Starr and the lesser known Sonsee and Big DS. Actually Sticky joined the group a while later after it was formed in 1988. Funny enough, Fredro starred in the movie “Barbershop”, but actually it was Sticky who had a background as a rhyming barber. They have two classic albums under the belt, and most notably “Bacdafucup” creating something of a craze back in 93 when it was released. (How about Double Platinum people) Suddenly HipHop went HardCore in a good and grimy way and the single “Slam” was pretty much the anthem of anthems. Bacdafucup was overseen by the late great Jam Master Jay and should be in everyone’s ownership! This should tell you one thing, success ain’t always sweet – It can be Ruogh, Rugged and Raw!
